YAYOI KUSAMA

Today I was very fortunate to came across my
50th version of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
I am always on the search for a new version to
inspire and that keeps the story alive.

But this time it was an exciting find.
The artwork is by the very famous Japanese artist,Yayoi Kusama.
Yayoi Kusama started painting polka dots and nets as motifs around
the age of ten and hasn’t stopped, she is now 82!
She paints, she draws, sculpts and makes video art.
In 2008 at Christies in New York, her work sold for $5.1 million,
a record for a living female artist. The book is full of wonderful pieces of art.
It just inspires me to read the book all over again.
